I am amazed that I am now less than 3 days away from seeing my baby for the first time. I have a busy week ahead, made sure I have had something planned each day and that is really helping I think! I went to a group this morning, was going to try and go to one this afternoon but somebody refused to go to sleep until 1.30pm, and stayed playing in his cot for about 45 minutes before he finally dropped off to sleep, so he didn't wake until 2.40pm. (group was until 3pm so not worth going as I would have got him ready and been down there and had about 10 minutes if that before we'd have to come back!)
Tomorrow I go grocery shopping with the in-laws. Who now know! It feels odd! I think because I already have a baby, and when they are here their attention is on him, so this new little baby doesn't get mentioned much! Maybe it will once I start showing lots!
Wednesday I am seeing Sarah in the afternoon. And then Thursday is the BIG DAY! I am a little nervous, but mainly excited. I think because my symptoms aren't really becoming less, what little symptoms I have are still around which are mainly tiredness and peeing! I peed TWICE in the middle of the night last night!
I occasionally expect to go to the loo and find blood... I don't know why... I sometimes feel damp, and think "uh oh I'd better check" but no, it's just that lovely increased CM in pregnancy. Which is good though! I've not had any bleeding since the morning of my midwife appointment which is almost 3 weeks away now. And that was only a little amount as per all the other times. I can't believe how much more spotting I've had this time round than with Robert. With him it was ONE small brown stained CM blob. (sorry lol). This time I've had quite frequent small wipes of red blood. About once every 2 days for the first 3 weeks since I found out, then it gradually has tapered off. Before the morning of the MW appointment it was 2 weeks since the last, so nearly 3 weeks and counting is good.
I can't believe it's nearly here! I wish in a way it was a 12 week scan and that I hadn't fibbed with my dates, but I only fibbed because I thought they were going to give scans at 14 weeks lately rather than 12 weeks lol! But it is nice having an early scan. Some people have told me I might have another if I'm under 12 weeks (which I will be!) but I'm not holding my breath for that. We shall see.
Anyway... in two days and 19 hours (roughly) I will be on that bench/couch thing with a scanner stuck in my belly! Wooop! :)

Thursday, 4 February 2010
Robert's sleep was very erratic yesterday. He fell asleep on me downstairs (!) at 10.30am, we moved upstairs at 11am, and he slept then until 12.30. Then he slept for another hour at 4pm (!) which I was amazed at, he hasn't had two naps for MONTHS!
Then went to bed around 8-8.30 or so. However, he was up screaming at 3am, having had moans every half hour for the previous 3 hours.
He's acted tired a LOT this morning, and have just in the last few minutes put him in his cot but he's crying and will see if he'll settle, will go and settle him if he hasn't in a few minutes.
I have no idea what the day will bring regarding naps, or how his sleep will go tonight, but it's just a case of wait and see I think!
I am needing to nap every day. I am physically and mentally exhausted. And even if I go to bed early, more often than not I am still awake when Jonathan comes to bed, due to thoughts swirling around in my mind for hours keeping me awake! Last night wasn't so bad for that luckily, but due to aforementioned 3am waking I am still absolutely knackered, my eyelids are so heavy!
I am still having spotting regularly. That's all it is though, spotting. The second it progresses into more severe bleeding I'm phoning up the doctor. It's bright red spotting so it is always worrying me a little, but as it's not much, and clears up quickly, I am still confident it is just implantation.
I have my first midwife appointment booked, for Tuesday 23rd February at 3pm. The timing is a bit of a pain actually as Tuesday afternoons is when the in-laws come over, MIL looks after Robert while FIL takes me shopping. And as we are keeping it a secret from family and friends until we have the scan, I can't tell them I have a midwife appointment! So I'll either cancel, say I don't need to go shopping, and take Robert with me, or I'll tell them I have a smear test, and take a big bag to hide the folder I'll be given.
Anyway, I have to go... Robert is still screaming, he won't settle at all even though I can tell he's tired, it's got to the stage where he's screaming in a screechy manner even though I keep going in there to sing and re-settle him.. Argh! Remind me why I wanted another!!!

No AF yet...
More spotting over the last few days.. None so far today though. I will wait at least a week before testing, which should give aunt flo a chance to get here ;) I am excited though that things are finally on the move! Very reassuring that my body is getting back to working order! I had a lot of periody type aches yesterday! I am becoming more and more convinced that I did conceive last Friday. I haven't had spotting for so long, and NOW I get some just days after one sided cramps? Which in four days hasn't developed into heavy bleeding? Very sus! If I am right on ovulation date, and that I am pregnant, my due date would be 2nd July 2010. I am getting more and more "odd" feelings down there that feel vaguely familiar! Achy feelings so low down they feel like they're within my pelvis.
Some things I wanted to document here was that Robert has now reached the cute stage of having worked out that things go into other things, and with that he has worked out how to feed other people, and he gets so excited and smiley when someone takes food from his fingers with their mouths!
He is also very clingy, not just necessarily to me, but whenever he spots someone leaving the room, he instantly starts screaming and gets himself into such a state! Even if he is currently involved in something that doesn't involve them!
Anyway cross your fingers for me! I think I will take a test next Wednesday as I will then be 12DPO if I'm right about the ovulation! Or before if I can't wait! LOL!
